Its one thing to not even spend Father's Day with your four children because you're too busy getting some on the side. It's an entirely different thing to completely shirk your duties as governor—possibly putting lives at risk if a state emergency broke out and there wasn't a governor around to handle the situation.

Not only is Sanford’s behavior a betrayal to his family, but also suggests underlying psychological issues by putting his entire career in jeopardy neglecting his duties as governor for an affair.

Sanford’s incredibly selfish act not only negatively impacts his family, his constituents, but also the conservative movement.

Sanford resigned from the Republican Governors Association. Apparently Mr. Powell doesn’t like the fact that Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh have called him out on essentially throwing the Republican party under the bus.

In addition to voting for Obama, Powell freely admits to voting for Kennedy, Johnson, and Carter. Stating that he believes in voting for the best person for the job, not party affiliation. Powell did note he voted for Reagan, Bush 41 and 43. I guess between 1980-1992 and 1999-2004 were Powell’s so called true Republican years. He was a staunch Republican during the years which benefited his career the most. One can ponder whether he ever was truly a Republican at heart, or if he played one to advance his own career.

Powell obnubilated the reasons why Republicans have lost power with nonsensical rhetoric about not reaching out to others, not realizing Americans want bigger government and higher taxes. As if he’s taking talking points straight out of the James Carville playbook.

You just don’t get it Mr. Powell. A little over two years ago, Republicans dominated with power. Republicans didn’t lose because Americans suddenly realized Republicans were too exclusionary and insanely obsessed with abortion, guns, and gay people. Republicans lost because they weren’t Republican enough. They weren’t sticking to their core values. Those core values attracted the Blue Dog Democrats and Independents who voted for Reagan.

The Republican Party has taken the carrot from Democratic Party’s stick and it has cost them. Not only is it helping to define the Republican Party negatively, it has caused tremendous amount of in-fighting amongst Republicans.

Becoming more like Democrats is not the solution to winning back power. Using minor issues as a litmus test for defining a true Republican is myopic and destructive. The real litmus test for Republicans should be whether one believes in the core values of a fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, and smaller government. It’s like getting into an argument what constitutes a true Christian. Either you believe in Christ as your savior or not. Believing the government is your savior or not, should determine party affiliation.

Republicans need to come clean with the American public on losing sight of being the party that defends the American wallets from a bloated government. The Republican Party needs to win back trust by admitting mistakes and learning from them. To quote from Bill Murray in the movie Stripes, the Republicans need to become a lean, mean (big government) fighting machine.

Powell needs to leave the party before he loses his last shred of credibility and tarnishes his historical legacy. Powell should realize beating up on the Republican Party will eventually raise questions about his own contribution to controversial mistakes made as Secretary of State.

The Mainstream Media Unhinged: CNN "Reporter" Susan Roesgen Bashes Tea Party Attendees

Thanks Susan Roesgen for your wonderful tirade! It proves what everyone knows... that our country's mainstream media is corrupt and rotten to the core with liberal bias.

While the public knows how organizations like CNN manipulate news to sway public opinion, could one imagine the faux facade of journalistic fairness cracking apart in such a delicious meltdown of a CNN reporter?

While Susan Roesgen's video will anger people, don't let it get your blood pressure up. You see, this is a major break through because the hate is no longer hidden but out in the open for the whole world to see. Gone are the days of the left proclaiming the right's paranoia of the mainstream media. Anyone watching this video cannot deny it. Sure, CNN could say Roesgen was an emotionally unstable reporter but we know her views are the norm rather than anomalous.

Exposing the mainstream media's bigotry toward conservatives hopefully will put the spotlight back on journalistic accountability. Leftist bigots like Susan Roesgen will be a thing of the past as the public's trust wanes.

Evolution of Michelle Obama: From $30 Gap Dresses to Personal Make-Up Artist

Michelle Obama humbly appeared on The Tonight Show and The View showing off her modest, inexpensive dresses. He's seen bowing to the Saudi King Abdullah, apologizing for the United States for its arrogance and heavy handedness, and stroking the egos of Muslims by assuring them that we're not going to wage war on Islam.

Like a cowering slave, Obama hopes that if he plays into the hands of world leaders, they will have mercy on the United States and not strike us hard. In his head, he thinks his clever moves will make tyrants respect his submissiveness on some level. But, they will see him as an easier man to break and use him as a tool to further their own agenda making the United States weaker in the process.

The liberal mainstream media and others so badly wanted an African American in the White House. They didn't care if he wasn't qualified. So, what if he wasn't? In their myopic world view, the most important thing is to elevate a black man to the highest office in the country. As if it would magically right all the wrongs of our country's prior slavery and subsequent discrimination against black people.

The mainstream media stream rolled Hillary Clinton when they found a bigger token -- Barack Obama -- to alleviate their liberal guilt. They fail to see their own racism by failing to hold Barack to the same standards as other politicians. They perceive Obama as too weak to be questioned and held accountable for his actions. Why else do they protect Obama at the expense of their own journalistic integrity and legacy?

If Bush had numerous nominees with tax issues, the media would've torn him apart. With Barack, it stopped becoming a passing news story after the first two tax cheats. If Bush still had a treasury department months into his presidency with unfilled positions, would this be front page news?

Can you imagine the cross examination the media would've given the Bush administration for spending trillions of dollars without even knowing what he was signing off on? Or if the Republican controlled Congress voted on a trillion dollar stimulus bill they didn't even read?

Liberals got what they wanted...a president with black skin. Now, if he fails miserably by making us weaker economically and militarily will it be worth having the first black president go down in history as grossly incompetent? Will that ultimately advance the black community or slow their process for another few generations? All because the media wanted to advance symbolism over competence and experience.

We won't have equality in this country until all people are held accountable to the same standards. Too bad the mainstream media don't realize they keep propagating racial stereotypes instead of resolving them.

Senator Jim Webb: A bleeding heart advocate for criminals

In this Sunday’s Parade magazine, Virginia Democrat Senator Jim Webb criticizes the United States for having the largest prison population in world. He states either we (the United States) are the most evil people on earth or we’re doing something very wrong by putting so many people behind bars.

Jim Webb seems to view many criminals as not harmful to society but victims of a dysfunctional and unfair justice system. He believes that drug users and “minor” drug dealers shouldn’t be clogging up our prisons.

I would like to ask Sen. Webb what exactly constitutes a harmless “minor” drug dealer? Maybe we should release these “minor” drug dealers into Webb’s neighborhood where they can be rehabilitated with his liberal compassion.

Webb tries to make an argument for releasing these so called minor criminals by stating that putting these people in jail has done nothing to break up the power of the illegal drug trade or reduced drugs from reaching our citizens. So, letting lower level drug dealers do their thing on our streets should now be a minor offense because the drug trade will still flourish regardless?

Webb is placing misguided blame onto our system. He seems to think our evolution as a society isn’t measured by how well we protect our citizens from criminals but how well we protect nonviolent criminals from facing the consequences of their behavior. Webb thinks treating these people as what they are somehow makes them even more dangerous to society. Again, it’s putting the blame on society and the system instead of the person who decided to commit a crime.

Our prison system does leave something to be desired. It’s not because society is too quick to throw away the key on criminals. Our prison system is the victim of ineffectual government bureaucracy.

I hope the Republican Party will laminate Webb’s Parade magazine article and bring it back to the surface when he runs for re-election. Wanting to release drug dealers from prison is the type of quote that can bury a political career. And we know his original victory was built on macaca.

Obama Mania Reaches Pinnacle of Absurdity

Ch-Ch-Ch-CHIA! One day you are Ashley Judd, the fresh faced it girl. A few years later, you're an over-the-Hollywood-hill, forty-something, actress struggling to maintain relevancy in a world which puts the highest premium on newness.

What does an actress do when she's too old to be the it girl, but still too attractive to get cast in roles reserved for older character actors? She ends up in leading lady limbo if her career was built more on looks than talent. At this career crossroad, most actresses -- of Ashley Judd's caliber -- end up fading into oblivion with straight-to-video movie releases.

In the last few years, Ashley Judd has been more famous for being racer Dario Franchitti's wife than her movies. But now, Ashley has found a way to revive her Hollywood status by taking on Sarah Palin -- who probably is the most hated Republican in Hollywood now that Bush has left office.

Liberal Hollywood actresses have a particular deep-seated hatred of Sarah Palin. They see Sarah as anti-feminist. They claim she is seeking to set the women's movement back by her conservative, pro-life views.

It's an interesting dichotomy to proclaim Gov. Palin is against women's rights when these actresses make a living off the exploitation and degradation of women.

What legacy does Hollywood leave to women other than telling them they're worthless if they don't starve themselves to levels of thinness seen in concentration camps? Or that their worthiness lies within their sexual attractiveness and youth. That's right. Put a scalpel to your face and implants in your chest, Hollywood actresses, and dare to call yourselves feminists. Do true feminists support an industry that puts women out to pasture at age 40 and tells them they are no longer relevant?

Then these so called Hollywood feminists have the audacity to attack a woman who had the tenacity and grit to propel herself from housewife to the Governor of the State of Alaska. And Gov. Palin didn't have to bare her chest to land that role ladies.

While Sarah Palin is out there trying to reign in government to make a brighter future for our children, the ladies of Hollywood keep putting women back into the stone age under the guise of feminism.

Ashley Judd is making a fool out of herself by attempting to marginalize Palin on issues she doesn't fully comprehend such as wildlife preservation. While it may extend Ashley's Hollywood sell-by-date, a year or two, it will cost her fans and respectability. But hey, Ashley's a Hollywood sell-out so she gave up caring about being respected years ago.

John McCain suffering from political Stockholm Syndrome?

The Washington Post's headlines blare Senate Gets Reacquainted with McCain the Maverick. John McCain is at it again, hand-slapping Republicans for delaying Hillary Clinton's confirmation. Sen. John Cornyn wanted to delay the vote in order to examine Bill Clinton's charitable foundation foreign donors. McCain publicly scolded Republicans like Sen. John Cornyn for having the audacity to ask questions instead of blindly jumping on the liberal bandwagon.

McCain seems to shine when he's allowed to lick the boots of his opponents and castigate Republicans for interfering with his journey to gain acceptance from people who hate what he represents.

You hear Democrats cheer, "The Mac is back" and "McCain is our favorite Republican or the only one we like." You see him at Obama's Inauguration luncheon sitting at Rahm Emanuel's table.

Reading various conservative sites, it's clear the majority of Republicans feel that McCain's loyalty is not to his party but to his place in the Washington power structure. McCain's stances seem to change according to which way the political winds blow. Also, he has a history of throwing his own party members under the bus in order to get into the good graces of his opponents.

One has to wonder if spending so many years as a prisoner-of-war have shaped McCain to be an appeaser and sycophant. Perhaps it would explain his continuous political waffling and admonishment of his own party.

McCain chose to be a Republican and voted in by his constituents to represent those ideals in Washington. Yet, he seems uncomfortable with the Republican agenda. McCain is in perpetual political limbo where he's the safest. I actually went to the new Whitehouse.gov site and read Obama's agenda for America. Here are a few excerpts:

Require 100 Hours of Service in College: Establish a new American Opportunity Tax Credit worth $4,000 a year in exchange for 100 hours of public service a year.

Did I read that correctly? Required? $4,000 in tax credit for only 100 hours worth of public service work? That breaks down to $40.00 a hour! So, one could work two and a half weeks and get a $4,000 tax credit. Sure why not! The government has an endless supply of money so why not give it away for a few hours of volunteerism. Symbolism over substance coming out of the taxpaper's wallet.

Raise the Minimum Wage to $9.50 an Hour by 2011: Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe that people who work full-time should not live in poverty. Even though the minimum wage will rise to $7.25 an hour by 2009, the minimum wage's real purchasing power will still be below what it was in 1968. President Obama will further raise the minimum wage to $9.50 an hour by 2011, index it to inflation and increase the Earned Income Tax Credit to make sure that full-time workers can earn a living wage that allows them to raise their families and pay for basic needs such as food, transportation, and housing -- things so many people take for granted.

Extend Paid Sick Days to All Workers: Half of all private sector workers have no paid sick days and the problem is worse for employees in low-paying jobs, where less than a quarter receive any paid sick days. Barack Obama and Joe Biden will require that employers provide seven paid sick days per year.

With many businesses struggling to survive, the Obama administration wants to force another minimum wage hike and paid time off onto companies in this economic crisis. Yes, keep raising wages until no one has a job. Another example of the impracticality of the Obama's agenda.

Reverse Tax Cuts for the Wealthy: Obama and Biden will protect tax cuts for poor and middle class families, but they will reverse most of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest taxpayers.

Fantastic idea! The wealthy will slow down their spending on goods and services so the economy will delve deeper into recession! Hey don't forget, the wealthy are the ones who start companies! Take that incentive away too.

Glad to see that Obama is no different than any other Democrat who seeks to slow down progress by punishing successful Americans.

Move Toward a Nuclear Free World: Obama and Biden will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons, and pursue it. Obama and Biden will always maintain a strong deterrent as long as nuclear weapons exist. But they will take several steps down the long road toward eliminating nuclear weapons. They will stop the development of new nuclear weapons; work with Russia to take U.S. and Russian ballistic missiles off hair trigger alert; seek dramatic reductions in U.S. and Russian stockpiles of nuclear weapons and material; and set a goal to expand the U.S.-Russian ban on intermediate-range missiles so that the agreement is global.

Does Obama think he can strike a deal with Putin to eliminate nuclear weapons? Will making the United States a weaker nuclear power protect us in the long wrong? Geez whiz, golly, surely those evil doers will see the light if we lay down our arms. They'll embrace America will hugs and songs of peace.

Talk to our Foes and Friends: Obama and Biden will pursue tough, direct diplomacy without preconditions with all nations, friend and foe. They will do the careful preparation necessary, but will signal that America is ready to come to the table and is willing to lead. And if America is willing to come to the table, the world will be more willing to rally behind American leadership to deal with challenges like confronting terrorism and Iran and North Korea's nuclear programs.

Without preconditions? If there are no preconditions how will it be to our advantage? Obama is incredibly naive to think if America bends over backwards that the world will rally behind us. The oversimplification of Obama's foreign policy rhetoric is downright disturbing.

Fight Workplace Discrimination: President Obama supports the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, and believes that our anti-discrimination employment laws should be expanded to include sexual orientation and gender identity. While an increasing number of employers have extended benefits to their employees' domestic partners, discrimination based on sexual orientation in the workplace occurs with no federal legal remedy. The President also sponsored legislation in the Illinois State Senate that would ban employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation

So, does this apply to churches who employ people? Would churches be forced to employ and give benefits to people's lifestyles that goes against their church's teachings? It's getting into sticky territory where gay rights overlap religions rights.

I hope every American takes the time to read Obama's agenda to know what we're in for as a nation.

Economy collapsing -- let's have a $150,000,000 Inauguration!

Old Abe Obama is riding the train down from Philadelphia to his $150,000,000 coronation as our nation's first reincarnated president. Yes, Obama thinks he is channeling the spirit of his obsession, Abraham Lincoln. Quick, someone get Nancy Reagan on the phone! Wait...call Hillary!

Choo Choo Obama waving along with his gaffe-a-minute sidekick Joe Biden is laughable. Obama's Lincolnesque train ride is reminiscent of a Hollywood kid's movie where something strange happens and a boy is suddenly transformed into an adult who becomes President of the United States. I digress.

In 2005, the left relentlessly attacked George Bush for his $40,000,000 inauguration. Yet, there is very little criticism coming from the far left or mainstream media for the extra $110,000,000 Obama is spending comparatively.

Examples of the vitriolic comments made back in 2005:

Democrat Congressman Anthony Weiner, "Precedent suggests that inaugural festivities should be muted -- if not canceled -- in wartime." Weiner also wrote to Bush suggesting putting some of the money toward helping the troops.

Hey, aren't we still at war? Yet, not a peep out of Weiner about Obama's soiree. Things that make you go...hmmm.

And the award for most melodramatic liberal writer goes to...John Nichols from The Nation magazine for his article, An Un-American Inaugural. Here's an excerpt from the linked article:

...the First Lady announced her approval of the ridiculous extravagance that will accompany what that is starting to look more and more like a royal coronation...It should come as no surprise that George Bush, with his regal instincts and inflated sense of self-importance, would want a big party. But Laura Bush, who has never seemed quite so royally inclined as her husband, should know better than to suggest that there is anything inherently American about such festivities.

You believe Mr. Nichols thinks Obama is Un-American too?

Eric Boehlert, a writer for the ultra-left web site Salon, was so outraged over Bush's expensive inauguration that he criticized the liberal DC press corps stating that they were giving Bush a pass again by failing to ask hard questions about the inauguration's huge cost and its unprecedented security.

Not surprising, Boehlert hasn't criticized Obama either.

Finally, it wouldn't be good old Bush bashing without a European spin. From the German news site, Spiegel Online, writer Bob Herbert gives his two pfennigs on Bush's inauguration.

President Bush and his equally tone-deaf supporters spent the past few days partying hard while Americans, Iraqis and others continued to suffer and die in the Iraq conflagration. Nothing was too good for the princes and princesses of the new American plutocracy. Tens of millions of dollars were spent on fireworks, cocktail receptions, gala dinners and sumptuous balls.

One Bush bashing article even listed all of the military supplies and vehicles that could've been purchased with the 40 million spent on his inaugural party.

Yet, there is barely a mention of Obama's decadent party. Can you image the media fire storm if Bush spent that insane amount of money with the economy tanking and with troops still in harm's way?

Where is the media's concern for the troops now? Or the 30,000 Circuit City workers who just learned of their impending unemployment? Or the 1 in 10 homeowners who are behind in their mortgage payments?

Change? Sure.

Grandma's movin' on up to the White House...

Taxpayers open up your wallets - Obama's mother-in-law, Marian Robinson, is moving into the White House.

According to ABC News, Michelle's mother is moving into the White House to look after Sasha and Malia.

Isn't that the job of Michelle Obama? Thursday's Big Hollywood site featured blogger John Ziegler who had the opportunity to interview Sarah Palin as part of his documentary on the 2008 election media coverage.

John blogs about his impressions of the 'Cuda including a YouTube interview clip.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Gov. What will she say in her acceptance speech? Um, you know, uh ummm. Maybe Princess Caroline will hire a speech writer.

How can a Harvard law grad lack the ability to articulate why she should replace Senator Hillary Clinton? No wonder Princess Caroline never made it as an attorney if she cannot answer basic questions from the press.

If Caroline doesn't know what she stands for should Gov. Paterson appoint her? If Caroline didn't have the surname Kennedy, could she even pass a job interview to become Paterson's Administrative Assistant?

According to the hipsters at Hotair , it's looking more likely Gov. Paterson will choose the inarticulate Ivy Leaguer to fill Senator Clinton's seat. Is Paterson that blind? Or should I say, what will he get out of the deal to sell New Yorkers and the American people up the river with Princess Caroline?

While you may not be the rich spawn of a former president - with a powerful uncle who decided to cash in his political favors to keep the Kennedy dynasty rolling - you are a freakin' American!

So, get off your duff and let your voice be heard!
